Volunteer
One person can't watch a whole city. That's just math.
Which is why this only works as a network — one reliable person per block, not one hero for the whole city.
What volunteering looks like
Feeding rounds
Regular, predictable feeding in your own area — dogs and neighbors both come to expect you.
Flagging problems
Spotting injured or sick dogs early and looping in someone who can help.
Home-checks
Helping new adopters make sure a home is actually ready before a dog moves in.
You don't need to save every dog in the city. You need to be undeniably good to the ones on your block.
